A 29-year-old Polish national has appeared before a special sitting of Trim District Court charged with manslaughter following an incident at a house in Rathmolyon, Co Meath.
Mariusz Jarosz, with an address at Fitzherbert Wood in Navan, faced a charge of unlawful killing of David Mazur at the Glebe, Cherryvalley, Rathmolyon.
Detective Inspector Alf Martin gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution.
He told the court that in reply to the charge the defendant said ‘No, I can't remember’.
Judge Patrick Clyne remanded the accused in custody with consent to bail to appear before Trim District Court next week.
However, he imposed a number of stringent conditions on the granting of the bail.
