Freezing weather conditions are set to return tonight, with temperatures falling as low as -5C in some areas.
Met Éireann's John Eagleton says snow or sleet can be expected, but conditions will not be as severe or prolonged as over the Christmas period.

According to the latest forecasts, the last of the rain, sleet and snow will clear from Leinster and Munster early on Saturday morning and conditions will improve thereafter.
Milder weather is expected around the country next week.
