Customs officers have seized more than €1 million worth of cigarettes in separate operations in Cork and Rosslare.
Officers intercepted a container at Rosslare Harbour today, and seized cigarettes with an estimated retail value of €1m.
A man in his 40s was detained and is being questioned.
Meanwhile, 3,000 cigarettes and a vehicle were recovered on the north side of Cork city today.
A man and a woman, both in their 40s, were questioned.
