The Supreme Court will begin hearing developer Paddy McKillen's appeal against the Commercial Court's dismissal of his challenge to the National Asset Management Agency on 15 December.

Mr McKillen has been trying to stop the transfer of €2bn of loans to the agency.

A three-judge division of the Commercial Court dismissed his challenge on all grounds but Mr McKillen appealed to the Supreme Court.

Both sides had urged the court to hear the case before Christmas because of the urgency of the case.

The case is expected to last a number of days.
