The funeral has taken place in Co Limerick of 25-year-old Sarah Hines and her two young children who were stabbed to death in a house in Newcastle West last Monday week.
Hundreds of mourners gathered at St Patrick's Church in Tournafulla for the funeral mass of Sarah, her three-year-old son Reece and five-month-old daughter Amy.
All three were buried in the one oak coffin, which was adorned with the children's toys, photographs of Sarah and her children, and messages of love and support.
Parish Priest Fr Willie O'Gorman, who was joined by four priests from adjoining parishes, said the family and community had gathered, overshadowed by grief and love, sadness and anger, confusion and pain.
He described Sarah as a beautiful girl, always pleasant, who loved her family, above all Reece and Amy, and did everything to raise them in the best way.
Sarah Hines is survived by her mother Abina, father Christopher, stepfather Peter and her seven younger brothers.
Members of the family of Alicia Brough, who was also stabbed in the incident and was buried last Monday in Cork, also attended the funeral.
