The jury in the trial of a 49-year-old man accused of the multiple rape of his daughter have brought in 21 guilty verdicts so far.
The seven men and five women of the jury will resume their deliberations on the remaining 62 counts tomorrow morning at the Central Criminal Court in Castlebar.
The man has been found guilty, so far, on five counts of rape, eight counts of buggery and eight counts of indecent assault.
During the trial, which is in its sixth day, the court heard how the man had begun sexually abusing his daughter at the age of around five and that he continually raped her between the period of 1985 and 2000.
The woman, who is now aged 30, told the court how her father had raped her within two weeks of her giving birth in 2000. She went on to have another child in 2001.
DNA evidence heard in court ruled out the woman's partner as the father of her children.
Forensic Scientist Michael Burrington said that test results indicated the probability of the accused man being the father of her two children, rather than a stranger, was almost 100%.
