A 28-year-old man is due in court in Belfast tomorrow, charged in connection with rioting in Ardoyne during which a concrete block was dropped on a police officer.
The incident happened during disturbances on 12 July.
The man has been charged with attempted murder and riotous assembly.
He is due before Belfast Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
The officer was fortunate to escape serious injury in the attack.
The PSNI came under fire from missiles and explosives during some of the worst violence for years after an Orange Order parade.
More than 80 police were injured during three nights of unrest in the republican neighbourhood.
