An 18-year-old man is being treated in hospital after being shot in both legs in Belfast last night.

The PSNI says he was abducted by four masked men at La Salle Drive around 10pm and forced into a silver-coloured estate car.

They drove him a short distance to Corrib Avenue, where the victim was then shot once in each leg.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and his condition is said to be not life-threatening.

Police are trying to establish a motive and have appealed for information.
