Gardaí have formally identified the woman whose body was found in the boot of a car in Newcastle in Co Dublin two days ago.
Her name has not yet been officially released, but the body is believed to be that of 30-year-old mother-of-one Helen Donegan.
She disappeared from her home in Celbridge in Co Kildare seven weeks ago.
A post-mortem examination revealed that the woman had been shot dead.
A 45-year-old man is being questioned in connection with the case.
