Two men have been charged by detectives from the PSNI's public protection unit investigating allegations of historical sexual abuse in Co Down.
One man has been charged with two counts of rape and two of indecent assault, one charge of gross indecency and 18 counts of cruelty.
The second man faces a charge of rape, two of indecent assault, one of gross indecency, two of threats to kill, and two other charges of possessing a firearm and ammunition.
Two other men and one woman have been released, pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
Detectives have been granted a further 24 hours to question one woman.
A seventh person was released on bail yesterday, pending further inquiries.
