The Sustainable Energy Authority has said savings of €6bn can be secured and as many as 10,000 jobs supported when its new five-year plan is implemented.

The Authority said 60,000 older homes will be insulated this year alone.
Last year its offices received 150,000 calls about retro-fitting, with a big increase during the big freeze.
The authority says the savings which will accrue are in the order of €6bn.
