Three men are being sought after they ran off having been stopped at a garda checkpoint in Donegal last night.
A fourth man - the driver of the car - was arrested at the scene and is being held at Letterkenny Garda Station.
A number of checkpoints and searches are being carried out in the area.
Superintendent Vincent O'Brien has appealed to people in the area between Stranorlar and Convoy to contact gardaí if they see anything suspicious.
Gardaí say they have found two firearms and seized four cars in their investigation.
