A challenge by the owners of Lissadell House to Sligo County Council's assertion of public rights of way on its grounds has resumed at the High Court.
The judicial review proceedings were adjourned last October after the court was told that new material had come to light.
The court was told today that the council had amended its defence and counter claim.
It now includes more detailed and specific documentation to support its claim that public rights of way exist on the land.
Owners Edward Walsh and Constance Cassidy of Morristown, Lattin, Naas, Co Kildare, are seeking a declaration from the court that no such rights of way exist and an order restraining Sligo County Council from asserting the existence of such rights of way.
They are also seeking damages for slander of title.
Counsel for the owners, Brian Murray, told the court that the resumption of the opening of the case would take three days.
A number of maps were outlined to the court this morning.
