Motorists are being urged to take extra care as icy roads and stormy conditions continue to cause problems.
High winds have brought down a number of trees in Leinster and there are reports of flooding and overnight temperatures are set to fall below freezing with rain, sleet and snow.

Gardaí have warned motorists of bad flooding on the N7/M7 in both directions, particularly between Castlewarden and Kill junctions.
Meanwhile, a tree is blocking the Old Carton Road between Maynooth and Leixlip and the Kill to Straffan road is impassable due to flooding and fallen trees.
Kildare County Council has reported a number of fallen trees and surface water in the north of the county.
Flooding has also been reported on the N81 in Blessington, Co Wicklow between the Manorkilbride and Lamb junctions as well as on the Ballymahon Rd and the Old Athlone Rd outside Mullingar in Co Westmeath.
Long delays were reported on the N11 after a multi-vehicle collision.
Six people were injured in the crash at Ballymoyle on the northern side of the Arklow bypass at about 5pm.
Two cars, a minibus and a truck were involved in the crash.
The six were taken to Loughlinstown Hospital, however their injuries are not thought to be serious.
The road has since re-opened but conditions are reported to be very bad in the area.
AA Roadwatch says it is still very icy in parts of Ulster and Connacht, with snow and slushy conditions in Munster.
Ice has thawed for the most part in Leinster but roads are very wet.
Gardaí have advised against travel in the Wicklow Mountains and motorists are advised to avoid the Wicklow & Sally Gaps.
The Conor Pass in Kerry remains unusable.
All routes are icy around Ballymote in Co Sligo, in particular the Riverstown and Casltebalwin roads should be avoided.
The Kingscourt/Bailieborough Rd (R166) in Cavan should also be avoided.
Motorists are urged to drive with care in many areas - the N21 Castleisland/Abbeyfeale Rd is passable but with extreme care.
Also, care is needed in parts of Co Clare, Co Limerick, Co Westmeath, Co Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim and Roscommon.
A number of collisions occurred on the M6 Dublin/Galway Rd at Loughrea last night and motorists are advised to continue to take care.
Mayo County Council says road conditions have eased somewhat and main roads will continue to be gritted as needed.
The council says it will respond to emergency hardship cases where some people are stranded in the homes for several days due to icy conditions.
