A Co Roscommon businessman and developer and his two sons have pleaded guilty to breaching health and safety laws after an incident when a 49-year-old Polish worker was killed when he fell from a teleporter.
Sean Doyle, a director of Owen Quest Properties Ltd on the Circular Road in Roscommon, admitted the offences that occurred on a construction site in the town on 14 April 2006.
Czeslav Malinowski, who was not wearing a safety harness, died after he fell to the ground when a teleporter that had not been properly secured collapsed.
Mr Doyle's sons Noel and John also pleaded guilty to breaching health and safety laws.
The three men will be sentenced tomorrow when it is expected the worker's widow will travel from Poland for the hearing.
