Two people have been charged at the District Court in Cork with organising prostitution and managing brothels in the city.
Bobby Healy, 48, of Mervue Lawn, Ballyvolane, in Cork was charged with six counts of organising prostitution and six counts of brothel keeping on dates in November 2006.
41-year-old Julie Anne Gibson of Spring Vale, Old Youghal Road, Cork, was charged with 42 counts of organising prostitution and brothel-keeping on dates between January 2006 and June 2007.
The alleged offences relate to premises at Grafton Street and at John Street in Cork City.
One of the conditions of bail for both defendants is that they stay away from these premises.
Both cases were adjourned for a month.
