One of the men accused of murdering two British soldiers in Co Antrim last March has been released on bail.
Brian Shivers, from Magherafelt in Co Derry, was released from prison in order to receive specialist treatment for Cystic Fibrosis.
British soldiers Mark Quinsey, 23, from Birmingham, and Patrick Azimkar, 21, from London, were shot dead and five other people were injured in the attack on 7 March.
Today a judge at Belfast High Court granted Mr Shivers conditional bail, despite acknowledging his risk of re-offending.
Lord Justice Coghlin ruled that Mr Shivers should be released under tight conditions because he could not be assured the proper medical safeguards were in place within the jail.
Lawyers for the accused told the court that his health was seriously at risk.
They argued that Mr Shivers had not been provided with the necessary medication and that alleged serious failures in the management of his condition had led to his recent hospitalisation.
It was claimed that Mr Shivers' lung capacity had dropped by a fifth and that he had lost between 7 and 8kg in weight while in custody.
In addition to a night-time curfew and daily visits to police, it was ordered that a £100,000 cash surety be lodged in court, along with the deeds to a house owned by Mr Shivers' mother, before he could be released.
