Gardaí have identified the woman who was found dead in Dublin's Phoenix Park last week as a 50-year-old Romanian mother-of-two.
Gardaí have confirmed the woman was was originally from the Timisoara region.
DNA testing established her identity and her family, including two adult children in Romania, have been contacted.
It is understood the woman had come to Ireland to live and work, but had been sleeping rough prior to her death.
The woman's name has not yet been released.
A full-scale murder investigation has been launched.
