Two men arrested in connection with the discovery of pipe bombs in Longford have been released without charge.
A file is to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The father and son were detained after the discovery of eight pipe bombs in a house 5km from Longford town on Sunday.
The 44-year-old man and his 18-year-old son were released this afternoon.
The army bomb disposal team was called in on Sunday and removed the pipe bombs to the Custume Military Barracks in Athlone.
Gardaí say they are continuing to investigate the incident.
