13 people have been killed and 50 wounded in a bombing at a market in central Baghdad
Police said the bomb was planted on a motorbike at a market in the Bab al-Sheikh area of the city.
The blast was the latest in a string of attacks to hit the conflict-torn nation in the run-up to Tuesday's withdrawal of US troops from Iraq's urban areas.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki had moved to reassure Iraqis that his security forces were able to protect the population after a massive bomb killed dozens the previous day.
More than 70 people were killed in the bomb attack in Baghdad's Sadr City neighbourhood.
