A 21-year-old Dublin man, who raped two women after breaking into their homes, has been jailed for 20 years.
David McCartan, of Casement Road in Finglas, was on bail while awaiting trial for raping his first victim - a 41-year-old woman - when he broke into the apartment of a 21-year-old woman and raped her.
At the Central Criminal Court, Mr Justice Paul Carney said McCartan had ruined both the women's lives.
He sentenced him to ten years for each rape, to run consecutively.
