A man has been remanded having been charged with murdering a financial advisor in Northern Ireland.
Darren Ivan Kernohan, 33, from Moss Drive, Antrim, spoke only to confirm he understood the charges during a five-minute hearing at Ballymena Magistrates' Court.
Geoff Kerr, 60, was shot dead in front of his family at his Templepatrick, Co Antrim, home by intruders who came to his door last Monday night.
Mr Kernohan wore a blue t-shirt and jeans and was handcuffed as he sat in the dock surrounded by police officers.
Around a dozen family members were in court.
An investigating officer said he could connect the accused with the charges before the court.
Magistrate Richard Wilson remanded him in custody to appear via video link at Antrim Magistrates' Court on 26 May.
Two other men held in connection with the murder have been released without charge.
Two women who were also being questioned have been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
