Four people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man who was shot dead on his doorstep in Co Antrim five days ago.
60-year-old Geoff Kerr was fatally wounded in the chest after opening the front door of his home in Templepatrick on Monday.
His wife and one of their four children were in the house at the time.
The shooting happened just 15 minutes from where two British soldiers were killed last month, but police quickly ruled out any dissident republican involvement, believing instead that this may have been an attempted robbery which ended in murder.
Three men and a woman are being questioned in connection with Mr Kerr’s death.
Two of the three men, aged in their 30s, were arrested in the Antrim area, whilst the other suspect was detained in Glengormley, on the outskirts of north Belfast.
A woman was also arrested in the Glengormley area on suspicion of aiding and abetting.
All four suspects have been taken for questioning to the Serious Crime Suite at the Antrim PSNI base.
They can be held for up to 24 hours, after which they can be released or police can apply to have their period of detention extended.
Mr Kerr's funeral took place in Templepatrick this afternoon.
