The funeral of Roy Collins, the father of two who was shot dead at his family pub in Roxboro in Limerick on Thursday, has taken place.
He was buried at Kilmurry Cemetery after Requiem Mass at St John's Cathedral.
The Bishop of Limerick, Donal Murray, said the senseless violence strikes at all of us and destroys not just the victim but diminishes the humanity of those who carry out such acts.
Gardaí believe the 35-year-old businessman was shot dead because a member of his family gave evidence against a leading member of a criminal gang in the city.
Two men, arrested on Thursday, are still being questioned in connection with his murder.
