Two men have appeared in court charged in connection with the robbery of €7.6m from the Bank of Ireland in College Green last Friday.
Darren O'Brien, 23, from Gardiner Street Lower in Dublin, was charged with handling over €1.7m in stolen money.
Mark Donoghue, 28, from Killeen in Leggan in Co Longford, was accused of laundering the same amount of money.
Dublin District Court was told Mr Donoghue was arrested in a car which had two bags with €1.7m.
The court was also told that €5.9m from the robbery is still missing.
Detective Sergeant Kenneth Donnellan from the Organised Crime Unit said Mr O'Brien made no reply when he was charged with handling stolen property at the junction of the M50 and the Navan Road last Friday night.
Mr O'Brien did not apply for bail or free legal aid.
Mr Donoghue was charged with laundering the same amount of money at the same location, but when the married father of a young family applied for bail Detective Sergeant Justin Kelly objected because of the nature and seriousness of the charge.
Judge Bryan Smyth refused to release Mr Donoghue on bail.
Both men were remanded in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court on 10 March.
Neither of the men spoke during the brief hearing.
