The husband of Celine Cawley, who died after an assault at her home in Dublin last week, has been further remanded in custody for two weeks.
The funeral of the Dublin businesswoman took place today at the Church of the Assumption in Howth, north Dublin.
The 46-year-old, mother-of-one was found lying on the patio of her home on Windgate Road with serious injuries. She was taken to Beaumont Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
51-year-old Eamonn Lillis was charged with the murder of his wife in the last few days.
Mr Lillis sat quietly during the brief court hearing at Cloverhill District Court today.
At the hearing, Detective Sergeant Gary Kelly asked that Mr Lillis be further remanded in custody for two weeks.
Mr Lillis’ solicitor Dara Robinson said his client was consenting to the further remand in custody.
Judge Conall Gibbons remanded him to appear at Cloverhill District Court on 6 January.
