A murder investigation has been launched following the discovery of a woman's body at her home in Howth in Dublin.
She has been named as Celine Cawley, who was the founder of Dublin advertising agency Toytown Films.
The 46-year-old mother-of-one was found lying on the back patio of her home on Windgate Road with serious injuries.
Ms Cawley was rushed to Beaumont Hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later.
She was well known in media and advertising circles.
It is believed Ms Cawley's husband may have walked in on an intruder and was also attacked himself.
The couple have a 16-year-old daughter who was at school at the time and gardai are pursuing all lines of inquiry, including the possibility that the woman may have fought her attacker.
The house has been sealed off for a forensic examination and the State Pathologist’s office has been asked to carry out a post mortem.
