Four men have been arrested after an attempted raid on a credit union in south Dublin this evening.
Shortly after 5pm a 4x4 vehicle drove at the entrance to the Credit Union in Rathfarnham Village, but quickly left the scene.
The vehicle was found abandoned in the Orwell Park area a short time later and gardaí have arrested two men.
They are investigating reports that a number of shots were fired during the incident.
Nobody was injured and no money was stolen.
A total of four men are now detained in relation to this incident.
