24-year-old injured in Finglas shooting

A 24-year-old man is in a stable condition in hospital after he was shot in Finglas in Dublin.

Gardaí say the man was shot in the lower body shortly after midnight at the car park at Barry shops on Barry Road.

He was attacked by two men wearing hooded tops who escaped on foot after the shooting.

The victim was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.

The scene of the shooting has been preserved and an investigation is under way.

There have been no arrests.
