A man was due in court this morning in connection with the seizure of drugs worth over €500,000 in Dublin last week.

A quantity of ammunition was also recovered.

Gardaí carried out a series of raids in the north of the city last Friday and dismantled what they believe was a major drugs network.

Officers seized cocaine and cannabis worth over €500,000 as well as hundreds of rounds of ammunition, a magazine and a silencer.

Gardaí also uncovered a cocaine mixing operation and mixing agents.

A 38-year-old man was scheduled to appear before Dublin District Court this morning in connection with the find.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a 38-year-old man arrested following a drugs raid at a house in Clonee, Co Meath, on Saturday has been charged.

He has been released on bail pending a court appearance in December.
