Heroin and cocaine with an estimated street value of €2 million were seized during a planned operation on the outskirts of Russelstown in Blessington this evening.
A handgun and a large quantity of ammunition were also seized by gardaí.
A 24-year-old man was arrested and is being detained at Naas Garda Station.
Meanwhile, three people were arrested in Limerick following a number of searches by Gardaí from the Divisional Drug Unit yesterday.
Cannabis resin and heroin with an estimated street value of over €140,000 was seized.
Two men and a woman were arrested after the seizures.
All three have since been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Man questioned over Dublin drugs seizure
A man is being questioned by gardaí in connection with the seizure of drugs and ammunition in Dublin last night.
The man, who is in his 30s, was arrested after more than €500,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were seized during a series of raids in Dublin.
A number of flats and houses in Phibsborough and Drumcondra were targeted.
Gardaí also found a cocaine mixing factory.
