A man has died after he was shot outside a pub in Dublin’s north inner city tonight.
It is understood the man, who is in his mid-20s, was shot a number of times outside a pub on Sheriff Street just after 9pm.
He was taken to the Mater hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
The scene has been sealed off for forensic examination.
Gardaí have appealed for anyone who was in the area between 8.30pm and 9.30pm and who may have information on the shooting to contact them.
