The trial has begun of a 39-year-old man accused of murdering 46-year-old Dermot Sheridan whose body was found in a burnt out house in Dublin in August 2007.
Alan Walsh of Edenmore Park, Coolock in Dublin denies murder.
Prosecuting counsel told the Central Criminal Court that Mr Sheridan's body was found in a vacant house at Seafield Road in Clontarf which had been set on fire.
The prosecution will claim that Mr Sheridan died before the fire was started.
