Three men have appeared before a special sitting of Limerick District Court charged in connection with a cocaine seizure in Limerick.

46-year old Timothy O'Grady of St John’s Terrace, Hospital, Patrick Hogan, 26, and of Long Range, Sandmall and 31-year-old William O'Donnell from Monabraher Road in Ballynanty were remanded in custody until next week.

Each of the men faced a total of three charges including possession of cocaine for sale or supply following the seizure of approximately €400,000 worth of the drug during a planned search of a house in the Castletroy View Estate yesterday.

All three were granted free legal aid and were remanded in custody to appear in court again next week.

Judge Aeneas McCarthy was told that the defendants would be making bail applications at next Wednesday's sitting.
