A suicide bomber rammed a van full of explosives into a police post in eastern Algeria, killing seven people and injuring 19 others.
The attack happened at Zemmora, a popular beach with holidaymakers, near Boumerdes.
The blast happened at about 10pm local time in the coastal town 45km east of the Algerian capital.
The blast also damaged several buildings.
The target of the bomber was not identified and there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
