A court has heard how a passenger was stopped at George Best Belfast City Airport with earnings of £14,000 (€17,768) hidden around their body.
Nor Azmi Bin Mohammad, a Malyasian national, admitted working as a prostitute and charging clients in Northern Ireland €350 an hour for his services.
The district judge granted a forfeiture order for the seized cash after the PSNI said the money was tainted with unlawfulness.
A lawyer said Mr Mohammad, who did not attend the hearing, was interviewed after being stopped at the airport and admitted working as a prostitute.
The lawyer said: 'Whilst there is nothing illegal in that itself, further inquiries indicated that Mr Mohammad was an illegal entrant into the country. A PSNI detective said the cash, a mixture of sterling, euro and dollars, had been secreted about his person.'
The officer said he believed all the money was obtained through services provided by Mr Mohammad in Ireland. He said Mr Mohammad allegedly disclosed that his services cost around €350 an hour.
Police also seized a hand written diary, and an itinerary of future liaisons. Mr Mohammad told police he would not be returning to contest the forfeiture application by the police.
Granting the order, the judge said that because of his illegal status, any monies that have been obtained therefore are illegal.
