Three people have been arrested in Dundalk in an investigation into the activities of dissident republicans.
Two men and a woman were arrested in Dundalk at 1.30pm this afternoon by officers from the Garda National Surveillance Unit, the Emergency Response Unit and local gardaí.
All three are being held at Dundalk Garda Station.
A firearm and a quantity of ammunition were recovered.
