A 51-year-old man is recovering in hospital after he was shot in the leg this morning in Dundalk.
The man was found with a gunshot wound to his knee in the Fatima Court area of the town.
He was brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The area where the man was found remains sealed off as gardaí investigate the circumstances of the incident.
