There is still no place available in a detention centre in Finglas for a 13-year-old boy facing charges of possessing almost €1,000 worth of crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis resin.

The boy was charged yesterday at the Children's Court with possessing the drugs with intent to supply near his home in north Dublin.

Judge Patrick McMahon was told today that a bed would be available for the boy next Wednesday.

The judge heard that the boy has been abiding by a curfew, requiring him to be home by 7pm each evening and to stay away from drugs and alcohol.

He remanded the boy on continuing bail until next Wednesday.
