A 38-year-old woman has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in a house in Listowel, Co Kerry.
It is understood the woman was stabbed by a man in his 30s at 4.45pm at a house on Dromin Green.
The woman was taken to Kerry General Hospital. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A man was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Listowel Garda Station where he can be held for up to 24 hours.
