Two men have been convicted of stabbing a garda who foiled a robbery attempt at a house in Raheny almost three years ago.
A jury at the Circuit Criminal Court is still considering its verdict in relation to an assault on a second garda.
25-year-old Xiang Cheng and 28-year-old Qian Cheng had denied the charge of assault causing harm to Garda James Hendrick.
They also denied a charge of seriously harming Garda David Comer on 13 July 2005.
The trial heard that both gardaí were repeatedly stabbed after confronting the men who were in the process of robbing three other Chinese nationals at a house in Raheny.
