Further searches are to be carried out in the O'Malley Park area of Limerick city following yesterday's discovery of ecstasy tablets with a street value of up to €300,000.

The find was made when gardaí investigating the recent killing of a 20-year-old man in the Southill area of the city searched a local field.

The body of James Cronin was found in a shallow grave in wasteground near the Caledonian Park area on Monday.

Gardaí at Roxboro Road Station have renewed their appeal for information.
