Gardaí in Co Kilkenny have arrested a man following the death of a woman in hospital in Kilkenny city yesterday.
Gardaí say the investigation is on-going into the injuries the 42-year-old woman received before being taken to hospital.
The results of a post mortem examination carried out at the Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise have not been released.
