Derry - Family targeted

The PSNI is investigating a paint attack on the home of a Romanian family in Derry.

Police say two bottles of paint were thrown at the front window of the house at Lisnagowan court in the Waterside area on Sunday evening at 10pm, smashing the glass.

One of the couple's three young children received a cut on the foot in the attack. Slogans were also sprayed on the front door.

The family moved to the area from London a month ago. They said they could not understand why they were targeted.

The husband said his wife and children were very scared and did not want to stay in the house.

The PSNI are investigating a motive for the attack and have appealed for information.
