A 15-year-old boy has been stabbed a number of times in the back in Limerick.
The incident happened just after 2pm at Whitecross Gardens which is located at the end of the Moyross estate.
The boy is being treated at the Mid-Western Regional hospital in Limerick.
It is understood his injuries are not life threatening.
Gardaí are investigating the assault but so far no arrests have been made.
