A 22-year-old mother of two, who was convicted of the manslaughter of another young mother in 2006, has had her sentence reduced by two years on appeal.
Kelly Noble was convicted last year of the manslaughter of 19-year-old Emma McLoughlin, after stabbing her in the chest in Laytown, Co Meath.
Ms Noble was given a ten-year prison sentence, with the final two years suspended, by Mr Justice Barry White.
This afternoon, the Court of Criminal Appeal reduced the sentence to eight years with the final two suspended.
