Police on both sides of the border have made a fresh appeal for information about the murder of Andrew Burns.

Last night the PSNI in Strabane staged a reconstruction of the last known movements of the 27-year-old.

The reconstruction took place at Upper Main Street, where Mr Burns was last seen before he was abducted and later killed.

Gardaí also mounted a number of checkpoints in the Doneyloop area seeking information from local people.

Mr Burn's body was found last week across the border in Co Donegal, close to a chapel at Doneyloop, near Castlefin.

He had been shot.
