Gardaí investigating the murder of a man whose body was discovered near Castlefin in Donegal have been in contact with the PSNI.
The man's body was found close to the border near the Church in Doneyloop.
It is understood that people attending an event at the local youth club discovered the man on the road and alerted gardaí.
Local nurses attempted to resuscitate him, as did ambulance personnel, but without success.
Gardaí have not identified the man who is thought to be in his late 20s or early 30s.
They have sealed off the area pending the arrival of a forensic team in the morning.
The State Pathologist's office has also been alerted.
