Six French aid workers have been sentenced to eight years forced labour after a court in Chad found them guilty of trying to kidnap children.
The six are members of the charity, Zoe's Ark.
They were stopped in October from flying 103 children aged between one and 10 from Chad to Europe.
All had denied abduction charges, saying they were on a humanitarian mission to rescue orphans from the war-torn region of Darfur in Sudan.
The French foreign ministry has said it will ask for the repatriation of the aid workers.
