The family of Paul Quinn has called on Sinn Féin to withdraw allegations that he was a victim of a dispute between criminals.
Briege and Stephen Quinn from Cullyhanna in Armagh, whose son was beaten to death by a gang at a farm two months ago, said that Sinn Féin MP and Stormont minister Conor Murphy had phoned the family home this week.
The couple said they had refused to engage with Mr Murphy until he and party colleagues withdrew allegations of criminality around their son.
Earlier this week Bertie Ahern and Minister for Foreign Affairs Dermot Ahern said publicly they accepted that Mr Quinn was not a criminal.
